Let’s hear it for Richard Wright, who has made a combined 12 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and Man City (none of which have been for City) and now has two – count ’em: TWO – Premier League winner’s medals to his name after the ’10-game minimum’ rule was scrapped a while back.

You jammy swine! Sometimes simply being British (and cheap) does pay.

While we’re on the subject – how’s that homesickness coming along, Rich?

dare I make the joke: Wright 2 Gerra….

  2. Tom the bees fan says:

when he went to Preston he felt homesick, he missed being payed not to pay.

There was a reason for the ten-game minimum rule, implimented in the same spirit as the cup-tied rule, so I’d guess. The only feasable explanation on scrapping it would be to satisfy the ever-expanding squads of millionares sitting on the bench every week, who might just have eventually realised that the only trinkets they are picking up are parked in their driveway. It’s more cake-and-eat it rule over-turning.

Richard Wright? Didn’t realise he was still playing. Still England’s 5th best keeper at the moment though!!!
