With the game finishing level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, Man City duly lost out on penalties for the second time in the space of four days in Minneapolis as Olympiakos nabbed the shoot-out victory – largely thanks to City’s ineptitude from the spot.
With James Milner and Scott Sinclair also failing to score, ring-rusty Micah Richards took the concept of the botched penalty to new heights (quite literally!) when he cannoned his truly atrocious kick over the crossbar and out into the cosmos.
