It took a penalty shoot-out but Manchester City just about edged out Roma in the pre-season friendly in Melbourne this morning that began with Raheem Sterling opening his City account after just two minutes.
The game finished 2-2 after 90 minutes and as such went straight to penalties, with Hart both saving (a particularly crap Panenka attempt from Seydou Doumbia) and scoring a spot-kick as City tucked away five penalties to Roma’s four to emerge victorious.
Hart’s converted penalty was a bit of a scorcher, with the City ‘keeper blasting it into the top corner as if he were launching a goal kick 75 yards down field…
That sheepish little look over the shoulder.
Shades of Big Kevin Pressman there…
Amplified THUNDAH!!!
