Norwich City 0-3 Manchester City – FA Cup 3rd Round – 9th January 2016

Sergio Aguero was back to his very best as Manchester City eased past Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday to take their place in the 4th round draw.

The Citizens dominated from the first whistle and took the lead on 16 minutes, with Aguero waltzing his away through the Canaries’ backline before firing past John Ruddy in what was a superb individual goal…

The hosts were struggling to deal with City’s movement and on 31 minutes, Aguero found himself with far too much space and time in the Canaries’ box. Rather than shoot himself, the Argentine set up Kelechi Iheanacho, who calmly slotted past Ruddy. Alex Neil’s side rarely threatened Willy Caballero’s goal, although both Graham Dorrans and Kyle Lafferty did test the City ‘keeper. However, it was City who always looked the more likely to score, with Jesus Navas hitting the frame of the goal.

On 78 minutes, Kevin De Bruyne sealed the deal for the Mancunian giants when he fired through the legs of Ruddy. Manuel Pellegrini is sure to be pleased by the superb display from the Citizen’s main-man Aguero, as the Premier League title race hots up. As for Norwich boss Neil, he’ll be disappointed by his side’s lacklustre home performance. Photos…
