It took only 38 seconds for Manchester City to kickstart their rainy Tuesday night clash at home to Watford, with in-form winger Raheem Sterling netting the fastest goal of the Premier League season so far.

Kevin De Bruyne started the game for the Citizens, with the midfielder making a surprisingly quick recovery from the injury he suffered in the  goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

However, it was Sterling who would get the first goal within the opening minute, firing home from a Leroy Sane centre.

De Bruyne was central to City’s second goal, which came on 13 minutes, with his cross turned into the Watford net by Christian Kabasele.

The Belgian playmaker then saw his free-kick tipped onto the frame of the goal as City dominated against Marco Silva’s inconsistent side.

Sergio Aguero had failed to make the most of a number of good chances before finally getting on the scoresheet just after the hour-mark.

Late on, Andre Gray would get one back for the visitors.

However, overall, Watford were well beaten as Pep Guardiola’s charges cruised to yet another win, which sees them go 15 points clear at the top of the table.
