He’s done it. He’s only gone and done it. Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for December, thus snaffling the award for the fourth time on the bounce – a new record.
The Man City boss equalled Antonio Conte’s three-in-a-row by garnering November’s award. Now, seven wins in eight league games throughout December has seen Guardiola obtain four consecutive gongs to move out in front as the sole record holder.

He really is leaving the chasing pack behind in several senses.
The Player of the Month honours have gone to Harry Kane, perhaps unsurprisingly in the month he broke Alan Shearer’s record for league goals scored in a calendar year.
Another 🏆 for the collection. Congratulations @HKane, the #PL Player of the Month for December! @premierleague

Elsewhere, the Goal of the Month award for December has gone to Jermain Defoe for his delectable looping effort against Crystal Palace…
Luverly stuff. Sweet as a cashew nut.
