Man City could only muster a 1-1 draw with Burnley in the Premier League’s early kick-off, no thanks to an absolute horror miss from Raheem Sterling.

For a player who tends to specialise in back-post tap-ins, Sterling’s eyes must have lit up when Kyle Walker’s low cross found him in ideal circumstances.

However, despite being four yards out from a completely vacant net, the spindly forward still somehow proceeded to waft his weak shot wide of the mark…

The impish little dive afterwards was a nice touch, no? No idea what he was going for there.

He may have 19 league goals to his name so far this season, but that was an untimely flashback to the bad old days for Sterling – y’know, back when he didn’t seem to be able to actually kick a ball properly.
