Man City have confirmed the extent of the nasty knee knack suffered by Kevin De Bruyne a few days ago, and it’s not exactly good news.

After succumbing to the injury during a training session on Wednesday, De Bruyne flew out to Spain the following day to be looked over by Pep Guardiola’s specialist of choice, Dr Ramon Cugat.

Cugat also treated the Belgian when his knee gave way him in January 2016, as well as fellow City teammates Ilkay Gundogan and Benjamin Mendy and their respective cruciate ligament issues.

The club have since confirmed via an update on their official website that De Bruyne has suffered a “lateral collateral ligament lesion” in his right knee and as such will be out of action for at least three months.

Bugger.
