Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick as Manchester City annihilated Huddersfield 6-1 at the Etihad on Sunday.
The Terriers held City to a goalless draw in Manchester in May, but this time around the Citizens had no problems in front of goal.
Aguero got the ball rolling on 25 minutes, scoring a delightful chip via an assist from his goalkeeper, Ederson.
Gabriel Jesus doubled the hosts advantage on 31 minutes, with the Brazilian firing home from the edge of the box.
A rampant City then went 3-0 up, with Aguero bagging his second of the game after making the most of an error from Huddersfield ‘keeper Ben Hamer.
The Terriers did manage to get among the goals themselves before half-time, with Jon Gorenc Stankovic netting from a Steve Mounie flick-on.
After the break, City continued to dominate, with David Silva conjuring up a superb free-kick to make it 4-1.
Aguero would get his hat-trick, his ninth in the Premier League, on 75 minutes, flicking in a centre from the superb Benjamin Mendy.
9 – Sergio Aguero has now scored nine Premier League hat-tricks – only Alan Shearer (11) has scored more in the competition’s history. Phenomenal. pic.twitter.com/CMcjv2Ttdp

Things would get even worse for the visitors before the end, with Terence Kongolo putting through his own net to give City a 6-1 win.
After the game, City boss Guardiola praised his hat-trick hero Aguero, saying:
I never saw him like this since I was here.
He is in an incredible condition with the ball and without the ball.
Considering City started with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker, Leroy Sané and Nicolas Otamendi on the bench, and with Kevin De Bruyne out injured, it’s going to take something very special from the rest of the Premier League to stop the Citizens cantering to yet another top-flight title.
As for David Wagner and Huddersfield, at least that’s the toughest fixture of the season done and dusted early doors.
