Manchester City’s Kelvin Etuhu has been charged with ‘wounding with intent’ and ‘assault occasioning actual bodily harm’ for his role in a fight that took place inside a Manchester casino four months ago.

The 22-year-old, Nigerian-born midfielder was arrested by police after three people (two men and a woman) were injured during the disturbance at the Manchester 235 Casino on February 27th of this year.

Etuhu, who spent last year on loan at Cardiff City, is jointly charged along with another man from the Manchester area and both have been bailed to attend Manchester City (not the club’s own) Magistrates’ Court on August 6th.

It’s great to see football’s young lions doing the sport proud – yet again.

I heard a rumour Kelvin Etuhu was going to be defended by top London barrister Dominic D’Souza. He was in the news not long ago defending a soap star. I remember Mr D’Souza getting another footballer off an assault charge a year or two ago. Well good luck Kelvin. Made a good start with Dominic D’Souza as your brief but thats just the start….
