Photos: Manchester City 2-0 Valencia – Joe Hart Moves Ahead Of Shay Given In Pecking Order
By Ollie Irish
We present some of the best pics of Man City’s 2-0 friendly win over Valencia at Eastlands, in our shiny new gallery format.
For the record, City’s goals were scored by striker Jo – remember him!? Dear God, City have too many strikers – and Gareth Barry. And Joe Hart played in goal, suggesting that he will start the season as City’s first-choice No.1 – which was a condition of him returning to City from his loan spell at Birmingham.

Jo still plays!?
Shay Given also played in goal.
Jo still exists?!
This is one of the main problems with Citeh’s transfer policy (and, of course, Chelsea’s in the early stages of Abramovich’s money) – not that they distort the market with their initial transfers, but that they have so many players that will inevitably become disgruntled at lack of first team football that these players will want a move away but will find it difficult to take the wage cuts to go to a poorer club than Citeh, i.e every single club in world football.
Perhaps Arsene should table a £12 mil bid for Given? Or if Given stays No. 1 after all, a £10 mil bid for Joe Hart?
New gallery format is much better.
I like this gallery Ollie.
