In Pictures: Man City 3-1 Lech Poznan – Adebayor Scores Hat-Trick, Celebrates With Rubbish Dance

By Ollie Irish

This is the Emmanuel Adebayor City fans wanted to see when he was signed from Arsenal. But the Togolese striker can do it against mediocre teams like Lech Poznan, but he has yet to do it in the Premier League. All of which leaves one with the impression that Ade is something of a flat-track bully, who easily loses heart and fails to make his mark against the best teams.

Anyway, this is the first hat-trick scored by any Man City player in Europe, so they can’t take that away from him. But he needs to sort out his goal celebrations.

Apart from Adebayor, I really enjoyed watching wood sprite David Silva, who is quickly finding his feet in England. The little Spaniard had an excellent game.

An honourable mention goes to Lech Poznan’s nutty fans, who made a brilliant din all night. They put most Prem fans to shame.
