Video: Michael Owen scores hat-trick for Man Utd against Wolfsburg
Well, look who made everyone sit up and take notice. Little Mickey’s back with his first hat-trick in, er, too long. If Owen stays fit and continues to find the net for United, Fabio Capello will find it very hard to ignore his World Cup claims.
Owen’s third goal against Wolfburg last night is the one that has got everyone talking today – he hasn’t made a scoring run like that in a VERY long time. It’s not exactly up there with his effort v Argentina at France 98, but still, nice to see for all England fans.
Credit too to Gabriel Obertan for his brilliant assist for Owen’s sceond goal. The parsnip-headed Frenchman looks like he could be quite a find.
