“How much?”

The BBC Sport website have just confirmed that Arsenal have received three offers this morning for Robin van Persie, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus all tendering bids believed to be in the region of £15 million.

Van Persie, who has been left out of the Arsenal squad that will be travelling to Asia on Saturday for a three-match pre-season mini tour of Malaysia, China and Hong Kong, has one sole year left on his contract at the Emirates, though it is believed that Arsenal are still attempting to hold out for a fee of £25-30 million for their prized pig.

Best of luck with that chaps.

    WHY. ARE. CITY. INTERESTED.

He’s going to come to us, then flop. Badly. Carling-Cup badly.

Mancini, buy someone who’s actually good, someone we need!

    Navas for a good winger!
    Martinez as another defender!
Perhaps M’Vila as a central midfielder.
Maybe even Nelson Oliveira as another forward (better than most options with HUGE potential).
If not him, then Cavani or Falcao if we can!

  2. Liam says:

We are interested because we have the money and it stops anyone else getting him. While he may not feature much in our team he can certainly be dangerous against us. We’ll let him sit on the bench until he’s too old to hurt us anymore.

  3. Mr Sensible says:

I love how neither United or City fans actually want him.

  4. Arsenal says:

I would have though City should prioritise midfielders and a centre back but if they are willing to buy van Persie from us for £20 million, I say thank you, a trade for Dzeko is even better.

why why why! welbeck or hernandez don’t run the risk of breaking every time they play! he’s nearly 30 for fucks sake. he’s just going to be a cut price cut ability version of berbatov! YES FERGIE WASN’T THAT A GREAT IDEA HE WAS SO WORTH IT! as much as fergie is a god i do wonder about him sometimes in the transfer market. i mean a lot of the time its good business, kagawa, hernandez etc but then you get shite like this and fucking bebe and obertan, never going to forget them.

30 goals in 33 games last season. as a chelsea fan we’ll take him- we love overpriced flops

1 good season in his whole entire career. Just 1. Remember that.

crazy to think andy carrol was 20m more then this offer. man city are gonna have to do a lot this $ummer if they wanna keep their plastic fans from converting to PSG.

  9. phil says:

Stupid plan. This is going to be Michael Owen all over again, albeit persie on his day is world class. Even so he’s too much of a risk to invest that sort of money in. With kagawa, rooney, welbeck, hernandez and berbatov they already have too much up top. What they need is a good right back and a left back to replace evra, as well as some more talent in the center. As much as i love and respect scholes and giggs, we cant rely on players who were playing before some of their team mates were born.

    @Liam

I’m also a City a fan, but I do not agree.

We have the money, but it’s better spent somewhere else.
And if you want him to join because it’ll stop him scoring against us, he’ll probably go back to being an injured twat.

Can’t help but think UTD is trying to drive the price up…
