Crabby Man Utd Legend Paddy Crerand Erupts On BBC Radio Over Suggestion United Players Provoked City Fans (Audio)
By Chris Wright

BBC Radio Five Live may just be regretting waking Manchester United legend Paddy Crerand up before he’d had his Weetabix this morning, with the 73-year-old erupting – a little misguidedly it must be said – at the presenter over his ‘ludicrous’ suggestion that Rio Ferdinand provoked the Man City fans with his celebrations at the end of Sunday’s Manchester derby.
Crerand took a firm grasp on the wrong end of the stick and gave the poor Beeb host what for…
You tell ‘em Paddy!

Haha. Classic Paddy.
“A million, half a million”

ha legend
Paddy comes across as a right tool
Purposefully not getting the point
This was painful to listen to…what a dick he made of himself! He would argue black was white..
What an idiot McCrerand came across as. As someone said, he totally missed the point (and the plot too!)
Who is “McCrerand”?
Paddy did what any loyal fan would do,stick up for their club in the face of one of the most stupid questions to ever be asked my a presenter!
Paddy, you’re a legend.
hes pissed
Excellent! Listen a couple of times people .. He very much had a point. A very badly asked question … And a lame interviewer. Paddy is a senior gentleman who is far sharper than the beeb interviewer(s).. who only has sharp smarm to answer with.
just quite embarrassing really
the best bit is at 4.41
what an embarrassment for paddy
@Cal
what are you talking about? he asked a very clear question and mcrerand doesn’t understand it, then goes on to rant like a raving lunatic
Any of you saying he’s a legend are tools, he’s clearly an idiot who didn’t listen to the original question and then insisted on not letting the interviewer explain wht the question actually was but preferred instead to go off on a rant about something that hadn’ even been asked. Did a similar thing on Irish radio a couple of years ago when the presenter (a man city fan) purposely wound him up by suggesting Fergusson was finished, Crerrand went nuts, almost exploded and I think he then hung up, plain and simply an absolute prick, and a stupid one at that
Go Paddy, My Laddy!! Talk away! BBC, stop trashing the man. He has a point. How come it doesnt happen every game in the opposing team’s side of the pitch?! The interviewer is no David Frost, either!
