What a buy Robin Van Persie has been for Manchester United. Seemingly well over the injury problems which peppered his Arsenal career, the Dutchman is having a huge effect on the Red Devils’ title tilt with both his goals and assists.
In Saturday’s late game in the FA Cup, the Dutchman, in cameo role at the Boleyn Ground, produced a last-gasp equaliser which saw him control Ryan Giggs’ long-pass with the most beautiful of touches before firing home with his right peg.
Genius. And I say that as an Arsenal fan trying to hold back my tears of sorrow/bitterness.
