At Porto Anderson was a phenomenon!
No wonder united payed that price tag to claim him.
But then, Fergie decides he is going to try and create a Paul Scholes out of Anderson’s skill set… What A HORRIBLE idea that turned out to be. This kid needs to attack, not flop around in the midfield like the ginger does, and score the occasional wonder goal.

Used correctly, Anderson could be an attacking threat, something Man utd. will have none of if Rooney breaks his foot again any time soon.
He has more than potential to be a consistent goal scorer. Bring him to Arsenal I say, he certainly doesn’t fit in Fergie’s ‘non-football’ tactics.

But I agree, not showing for a home game (if this claim is true) is certainly a sign of weak character.

Didn’t he play as an attacking left winger at Porto? Or at least a more attacking position than he does at Man U. If he was valued at £18 million in that position, why not give him the chance there now?

He was always a speedy dribbler before going to Utd. They should try him in a more attacking role rather than trying to make him an all-round midfielder.

I saw Anderson driving around Alderley Edge on Saturday during the United game. Evidently he wasn’t in the squad for the game and so didn’t even bother going to the game to support his team-mates.

I like him, and think the criticism he gets is pretty harsh given his age and the infrequency of his starts, but to not turn up to a home game just because you’re not in the squad is not the kind of behaviour Fergie will approve of. Methinks he’s on his way.

Thought we would forget about this article Ollie? To be fair at the time he looked the real deal, I still think he has a part to play for United, but we might just try and get a few million to ease our debt. Bugger.
