A clash of those two old rival Liverpool and Man Utd at Old Trafford is the pick of the ties from Wednesday night’s Capital One Cup 3rd Round Draw – the game will also be the first available juncture for Luis Suarez to return to Liverpool’s first team fold following his ten-game suspension, assuming he’s still on the Reds’ books by then of course!
The draw sees three other all top-tier clashes, with West Ham playing Premier League new-boys Cardiff, Arsenal travelling to the Hawthorns to face West Brom, Aston Villa playing host to big-spending Spurs and Fulham meeting Everton at Craven Cottage.
Newcastle versus Leeds is another particularly tasty clash with the games to be played on the 24th and 25th of September. Here’s the draw in full…
