Manchester United 2-0 Swansea City – Premier League – 11th January 2014
Adnan Januzaj produced a superb performance at Old Trafford on Saturday, whipping in both crosses which led to United’s two goals. Antonio Valencia netted the first just after the break, with Danny Welbeck doubling the home side’s advantage on the hour-mark. Swansea had enjoyed most of the possession in the first-half, but they couldn’t reproduce last week’s attacking performance in the FA Cup against the Red Devils, and their failure to make the most of their dominance would ultimately be punished in the second-half. David Moyes’ men are still way off the top of the table, but this victory is sure to give the struggling giants a welcome boost.
