World Cup: Wayne Rooney Takes Utterly Woeful Corner Against Italy (Vine & GIF)

By Alan Duffy

He may have set up Daniel Sturridge’s goal for England on Saturday night but big-boned attacker Wayne Rooney was some way off his best form against the Azzurri. Oh, and he did this…

Here’s the GIF version just in case…

It was almost as bad as this beauty from Liverpool’s Iago Aspas on the final weekend of last season…

  1. Paulie says:

    The most overrated footballer ever.

  2. Room101 says:

Don’t know if anyone else saw this, but please GIF the moment at the end when Joe Hart is shaking hands with Pirlo and just says ‘Wow’ in relation to that free kick. Thought it was a great nit of sportsmanship, gracious in defeat and admiring Pirlo’s talent (not forgetting 2012 penalties either).
Our set pieces need improving because they could be decisive in besting Uruguay and Costa Rica.

  3. Moxey says:

That Aspas corner was actually from the Chelsea game a few weeks before. Chelsea scored on the breakaway from it.

  4. Nuno says:

    Metro also saw it
