As rooted out by Todo Sobre Camisetas, here are some photos of the hotly-anticipated new Manchester United shirt for next season…

What we like is the shirt itself; a very smart affair and a huge improvement on the Gingham-laden efforts of the past couple of years.

What we don’t like is that chintzy gold Chevrolet logo squatted slap bang in the middle, which we can’t help but feel would’ve looked better in just block white, like such…

Oh well, you can’t win ’em all!

What’s the verdict, Pies fans?

Being American I don’t really have a problem with the logo. (Although, does Chevy even sale many cars in the UK?) what I do have a problem with is the one button on the front. If you’re going to make a button up the go all the way, don’t just give it a half-ass one button flap. That just looks stupid to me.

Would look better with just white logo, Looks a little tacky with the large gold.

Apart from that the shirt is spot on

  3. Ben Dover says:

I totally agree with you! The shirt is fine, the logo should be in white and less dominant to give a better impression layout-wise :)

Gold does not run great on a red shirt. Looks cheap.

that is the best-looking $560mm jersey ever!
by the way, the GM marketing genius who signed the deal was fired for it, and GM no longer sells the Chevy brand in the UK or even Europe. Well done Ed Woodard! Just think of how many more Fellainis you can buy with $560mm!

I knew Chevrolet would fuck it all. The cars are shit, so is the logo.

  6. James says:

Bruno – I’ve actually been to the States and no, the real deal models out there aren’t shit cars – camaro, corvette, suburban etc. The mistake GM made in Europe was they brought virtually none of these models over and instead rebadged their Daewoo cars with Chevrolets logo. Go to Old Trafford on a Saturday evening about 6pm before they have a match the next day – the team park up their real deal Chevys before they jump on the coach to the team hotel
