Hump of the week. Here’s the round up…

Banksy strikes again

Rumour No. 1: Real Madrid have targeted Chelsea’s Ashley Cole, as the fallen giants prepare yet another major squad overhaul after failing to reach the last eight of Champions League once again.

Due to relentless media interest in his private life, Cole is said to have tired of life in England and may seriously consider a move abroad should the right offer come in.

Should Los Blanco fail in their attempt to lure the Chelsea left back, they will launch bids for Man United’s Patrice Evra or Lazio’s Aleksandar Kolarov.

Rumour No. 2: AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has left the door open for David Beckham to return to the club on loan next year.

The 34-year-old midfielder’s second stint at the Rossoneri has been cut short by an unfortunate achilles injury during their 1-0 win over Chievo, but Galliani comforted Beckham in the Milan dressing room by promising him he would be welcome to return to the San Siro next season.

The Best of the Rest: Arsenal target Felipe Melo may be on his way out of Juventus after arguing with fans during their recent draw with Siena.

Manchester City are preparing another offer for Seville striker Luis Fabiano.

Manchester United are tracking 18-year-old Stockport centre back Sam Barnes, who has been recommended to Sir Alex Ferguson by United’s reserve team coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

West Ham are in pole position to sign Aruna Dindane once his loan spell at Portsmouth comes to an end.

While we’re on The Hammers, young defender Bondz N’Gala has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan for the rest of the season.

And finally, West Ham are also considering a swoop for Halil Altintop once his short-term contract at Eintracht Frankfurt expires.

Liverpool’s 24-year-old reserve team ‘keeper David Martin has joined Derby County on an emergency loan.
