Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Everton v Arsenal - Goodison Park

Careful Olivier, you’ll do yourself a mischief

With the transfer season coming to an end and the news that Olivier Giroud will be knackered for the next three months after a football touched his foot, the media experts have whipped out their scatterguns and aimed them squarely at Arsenal.

In the past 24 hours, Arsenal have been linked with the following players…

The Metro say Arsenal want Alessio Cerci.

The Daily Star say Arsenal want to buy Atletico Madrid’s Toby Alderweireld.

The Daily Mirror say Arsenal want Wolfsburg’s Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo.

The Mirror also claim Arsenal want West Ham’s Winston Reid.

The Metro say Arsenal want Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.

The Star say Arsenal are chasing Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote.

The Guardian say Arsenal want Sami Khedira and Jackson Martinez.

The Star say Arsenal want Roma defender Mehdi Benatia.

The Express says Arsenal want Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas (who signed for Roma earlier today).

The Irish Independent report Arsenal want Eto’o, Loic Remy and Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck.

The Metro say Arsenal want Edinson Cavani.

To recap: Arsenal are in the market to replace Giroud with six strikers, four midfielders and four defenders, capiche?

In other words: the mainstream media has absolutely no idea who Arsenal want but if they shout enough names they might just get one right and be able to declare “WE TOLD YOU SO” in seven day’s time.

The writer of the above article knows what the media does and it is very interesting to know the way the media does things. Keep it up my friend, we need to read more news like this one. You are a true Jarnalists, unlike the so called Jornalists. Would Arsenal buy dozens players at once? No! “Not at all’. How come the media offer more players to Arsenal than any other clubs in the Premier League?

    Hi Sheka,
    Thank you for your warning.
I’ve personally forwarded your kind advice to Mr Wenger during this morning’s training session.
He asked me to extend his thanks to you, but added that there’s no need to worry. He’s got it all under control.
    Kind regards,

I think Arsene will simply be happy with ‘new signing’ Theo Walcott.

Arsenal player out with long-term injury?

Be honest, Arsene. Did you once piss on a witch doctor’s feet?
