Injury Update: Ryan Giggs, ‘Cesc Fabregas and Aaron Lennon Nearing Comebacks

By Chris Wright

Bit of good news on the injury front, as three important players are nearing their respective return to first-team action.

Crock No. 1: Veteran Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs is reportedly set to make a shock return to the bench in time for United’s clash with rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Giggs has been sidelined with a broken arm sustained during United’s draw with Villa over a month ago but, after coming through a number of ‘contact’ training sessions, has been passed fit to play – albeit with a protective cast in place.

Crock No. 2: Arsenal talisman ‘Cesc Fabregas has returned to training after twanging a hamstring against Burnley on March 6th.

The Gunner’s captain should be fit to make his comeback against West Ham this weekend.

Crock No. 3: Winger Aaron Lennon is poised to give both Tottenham and England a lift with the news that he is set to resume training next week.

Lennon has been out for over two months with a groin injury, but is now convalescing ahead of schedule and may be available for the visit of Chelsea on April 17th.
