Poor old Marouane Fellaini has taken a right bashing since leaving Goodison Park for Old Trafford. And during the Red Devils’ clash with West Brom on Monday night, the afro-tastic Belgian once again was the target of the Baggies’ very own official Twitter account.

However, soon after the sneery Tweet, the midfielder came on as a sub and scored a fine goal to level the scores at 1-1.

If only we could all respond to nasty Tweets by doing the same!

To be fair to him he had a fantastic half of football– surely the early goal helped with that. He was the only one I saw actually running hard and muscling the WBA players around. The rest of the team looked like their legs had lead weights tied on the end. Blind hitting slow but accurate passes around the halfway line the whole game might add to his passing rate but both his and Fellaini’s wild, energetic bursts upfield towards the end of the game when they had each other for cover made the real difference.
