Queens Park Rangers 0-2 Manchester United – Premier League – 17th January 2015
The pressure increased on Hoops’ boss Harry Redknapp after his side went down 2-0 at Loftus Road on Saturday.
The hosts had started brightly with in-form striker Charlie Austin testing David De Gea in the Red Devils’ goal on more than one occasion. However, the half-time introduction of Marouane Fellaini (for Juan Mata) changed the game with the big Belgian blasting home on 58 minutes. Falcao then went close before Eduardo Vargas failed to make the most of a good opportunity. However, it was youngster James Wilson who would seal the deal for the Red Devils late on to keep Louis Van Gaal’s men well in the hunt for a Champions LEague spot.
Manchester United are now in fourth, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea while the Hoops 19th, a point from safety.
