Swansea City 1-2 Manchester United – Premier League – 21st February 2015
A second-half goal from Bafetimbi Gomis goal gave Swansea their second of the season against Manchester United.
The Red Devils had been in fine form prior to the game at the Liberty Stadium and took the lead on 28 minutes, courtesy of another goal from Ander Herrerra. However, the Swans were level within two minutes, with Ki Sung-yueng scoring from a Jonjo Shelvey’s centre.
In the second period, Louis Van Gaal’s men pushed for the winner, with Marcos Rojo, among others, going close. But the hosts weathered the United storm and eventually bagged the winner themselves, with Gomis deflecting a long-range effort from Shelvey past David De Gea.
United drop to fourth while Garry Monk’s Swansea go ninth.
