Ryan Giggs Opens Door For Wales Return

By Chris Wright

Former captain Ryan Giggs has admitted that he would consider a return to the Welsh national team, should he get the call from manager John Toshack.

Speaking to the Western Mail, Giggs said;

“It’s something I would have to talk about with John Toshack and Sir Alex Ferguson, but at this stage I wouldn’t dismiss the idea.

If I had the call I would have to think hard about it. I wouldn’t rule it out”

It is thought that the horrific injury sustained by Giggs’ heir apparent Aaron Ramsey earlier this year is what sparked the veteran Manchester United winger into reconsidering his international stance, and the 36-year-old may now step in to fill the creative void in the Wales midfield for the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

    Giggs return would only be good for Welsh football, and our young squad, even if its only for a few games, COME ON WALES!
