Steven ‘Mr Liverpool’ Gerrard put in a sterling captain’s innings against Manchester United at Anfield this afternoon, coming on as a half-time impact sub and promptly getting himself sent-off less than a minute later for stamping on Ander Herrera…

Supposing he gets a three-game ban for his moment of sheer idiocy, that leaves five Premier League games left for Stevie G before he jets off for La La Land.

“Who, me?”

Yes, you Stevie.

Ta ra, la.

What a wally. He better hope he signs off with the FA Cup now.

    Martin Skrtl better be getting a call from the FA in the morning after his stamp on De Gea. In the replay you can clearly see he’s slowing down because he knows the keeper’s getting the ball and rather than move out of the way, just stamps on his leg instead. Costa did the same thing.

    @Richard – dont you know littlepool players never ever do anything wrong. Costa committed a vicious, violent and career-threatening assualt against Skrtel whereas Skrtel only had eyes for the ball in his challenge with De Gea. If anything De Gea purposely put himself under Skrtel to get the player booked or sent off and waste time in the hope of avoiding getting stuffed by the biggest and best team in the world.

    @Bob.

    You’re living in the past lad.

    bob, you should be in the States with that, haha. Perfect send up of American Liverpool supporters in particular. Insufferable holier-than-thou knowitalls to a person.
