Enjoying something of a renaissance on the pitch at the moment, Ashley Young has also bolstered his good guy credentials by offering to pay to repair the damage he caused while posing for a photo with a Man City fan.
The City fan in question, young Annie Taylor, took to Twitter to grumble about Young supposedly breaking her phone screen while the pair took a hazy-looking selfie recently…

Quite how Young managed to break her phone while taking a picture is beyond us. Must’ve had sticky jam fingers or something.
Several other City supporters then elbowed into the conversation, suggesting the United wideman should do the decent thing and pay for Annie’s phone to be fixed…
Then, out of the blue, Young himself replied to the repeated mentions – asking Annie to follow him so he could personally take care of the issue…
What a gent.
Young has previous when it comes to Good Samaritanry, hitting the headlines in 2013 when he responded to an open request from a United fan asking for his terminally-ill father to be treated to one last whirl at the club he’d supported all his life.
Sidelined with an injury at the time, Young got in touch and ended up putting the whole family up in his hospitality box at Old Trafford for a game against Swansea.
He’s a good egg is that @youngy18.
