This morning’s shorts:

Jose Mourinho has admitted he is “not happy in Italian football.” The Special One told Sky Sports: “I always speak in a very honest way and if I do it about Serie A I will be suspended… My situation is clear. I am very happy at Inter, I am not happy in Italian football.”

When asked to elaborate, Jose added: “Because I don’t like it and they don’t like me. Simple.”

Looks like Mourinho is angling for a move to Spain or England. Real Madrid or Liverpool perhaps? Or is he waiting for the Man Utd job?

Arsenal are considering a summer bid for highly rated Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto. The 21-year-old’s impressive progress at Serie A side Catania has helped him force his way into Japan’s national team – he will make the trip to South Africa so the Gunners may be advised to snap him up before his value soars.

Manchester United fear Wayne Rooney is out for the next month after his ankle injury against Bayern Munich.

Rooney is set to fly back to Manchester with his team-mates this afternoon before being taken for a private MRI scan on the right ankle ligaments he damaged in the final moments of United’s Champions League defeat.

Wazza, we’ve got everything crossed for you on this one. Missing out on South Africa is simply not an option.
