Transfer Balls: Rounding up the day’s football tittle-tattle so you don’t have to…

Citizens Want To Talk About Kevin

The Mirror links former Chelsea schemer Kevin De Bruyne with a move back to the Premier League this summer. The Belgian has enjoyed a superb season with Wolfsburg in Germany, but now Man City are hoping to secure the services of the £40million-rated midfielder.

However, the likes of PSG and Bayern Munich are also sniffing ’round the playmaker who is still not sure why Jose Mourinho froze him out at Stamford Bridge.

Man Utd After Anderson

Man Utd have entered the race to sign Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson, according to the Star. The Brazilian has enjoyed an outstanding season in Italy and is already on the radar of Chelsea, amongst others. However, Louis Van Gaal is apparently eager to bring the 22-year-old to Old Trafford and willing to spend £30million on the star.

With Robin Van Persie rumoured to be headed to Lazio, a swap-deal could also be on the cards for the former Santos man who can play wide or behind a striker.

Spurs Prepare for Martial Law

According to the Telegraph, amongst others, Tottenham have secured a deal for Monaco starlet Anthony Martial. The 19-year-old is one of the most highly rated youngsters in French football and has been likened to Thierry Henry.

The Lilywhites are apparently willing to cough up over £18million for the attacker, in the hope that he can provide the requisite support for Harry Kane in Tottenham’s frontline.

Swans Like Loic

The Mirror report that Swansea city have joined the chase for Chelsea’s wantaway striker Loic Remy. The Frenchman is frustrated with a supporting role at Stamford Bridge, and Swans’ boss Garry Monk is apparently eager to bring the French international to the Liberty Stadium.

However, with Southampton and Crystal Palace also thought to be interested in the 28-year-old, the Swans face a fight to land the former Newcastle hitman.

Magpies Ogle Austin

Newcastle United continue to eye a deal for QPR hitman Charlie Austin, but will have to splash out £15million on the 25-year-old. According to the Mirror, the Hoops won’t budge on that asking price for a player they expect to leave this summer.

While the Magpies are eager to beef up his side’s attacker with the signing of Austin, the face stiff competition from the likes of Southampton, West Ham and Aston Villa for the former bricklayer.
