I refuse to make a joke about the shirt sponsor

(That’s deadly as in his finishing. Nothing to do with swine flu. Just to know.)

Man United’s new signing, and the club’s first ever Mexican signing, is Javier ‘Chicharito’ (Little Pea) Hernandez. He’s a striker with very quick feet and an impressive scoring record for club Chivas de Guadalajara. Subject to a work permit, he’ll join United on July 1st. As well as the transfer fee, the English champs will play a friendly, also in July, to help launch Chivas’s new 45,000-seater stadium.

Judging by his YouTube highlights reel…

… he could make the perfect foil for Wazza Rooney.

Although the fee is officially undisclosed, several media outlets have reported that the deal is worth around £7.9m plus a signed autograph of United legend Dong Fangzhou and Dimitar Berbatov’s left ear.Wikipedia©

  5. Ben says:

“David Ngog will go straight into the Merseysiders’ first-team squad, joining fellow summer arrivals Andrea Dossena, Diego Cavalieri and Philipp Degen.”

    Ben wins.

  7. Kevin Appu says:

Ok the youtube clip is really not bad…but i watched similar games from those region and to be honest the league movement is more like in the Spanish La Liga;not much player movement off the ball eg Morientes…so only time will tell how well he will do oonce he comes down to England and play…

  8. mizman says:

ben you are mistaken. The united ledgend autograph isn’t Dong Fangzhou but actually Danny Webber. He is massive in Mexico

  9. seen it all before says:

hey wasnt this the first 15 minutes of that film goal?

  10. Jona says:

Pressure does not know the plays in a stadium every 8 or 15 days with more than 60,000 people, gets goals, put passes, the pressure known as Chivas has over 30 million fans in the country and another 8 or 10 million in U.S., do not know who bought the jewel, as in TV commercials guaranteed results from the first match.

  11. pbro says:

Mexican players can’t do well in the premier league, and I’m surprised that Sir Alex has been so rash to ignore this fact. Despite being full of skill and flair, Mexican players are typically weak on the ball, do little to help out their teammates, and can be blatant cheaters. It is in their culture, and anyone who has ever watched the Mexican national team play can testify to that.

  12. Fredmeister says:

Thats a little bit racist isnt it pbro?

    @Tom P, I smell a Soskjaer!

Fergie will have him doon the gym hell be right as rain, because he is a MexiCAN, and he can do whatever he wants!!

  13. basti.lfc says:

i admit that dossena is shit and degen of course,is too….but i didnt talk about them…

    i think its a useless transfer..but we’ll see…nevertheless…funny as fuck..

  14. Jay. T says:

We have to be patient and wait to watch the boy play the pre-seasons.. Am very sure Ferguson is the best coach.. Ronaldo also joined ManU without much skills but see how Fergy mounted him.. he’s nw the best in the world. Lets wait & see wot Fer4gy wil do wit the boy…. just like he’s doing wit Nani

  15. Red_Devil says:
