When it comes to artful fantasy kit designs, nobody does it better than our pals over at La Casaca.
Their latest project involved La Casaca preying upon some of football’s most appalling old third and away kits and modernising them using contemporary Adidas templates.
Firstly a retro horror strip was selected from the archives, then La Casaca took the various elements and applied a modern aesthetic before tweaking them to create all new, re-vamped designs for 2015/16.
Kindly, they’ve chosen to share all three stages of their various kit overhauls with us – beginning with a real rotter from Kelme.
Real Madrid third kit, 1996…
Modernised with Adidas template…
Finished tweaked redesign…
And so on and so forth.
Bayern Munich away kit, 1993…
Manchester United away kit, 1995…
Chelsea away kit, 1994/96…
Ajax away kit, 1989…
Juventus third kit, 1996/97
Pretty swish, no? We’d have that ‘halfway house’ Juventus kit off your hands in a hot minute. Bloomin’ gawgeous!
If you’re liking what you see, there are loads more cool redesigns to peruse (including a natty little River Plate number) over on La Casaca’s blog.
