A sandwich shop has launched a special stilton sandwich to celebrate Manchester United’s Premiership title win and FA Cup final appearance. Merv’s Sandwich Sandwich in Manchester has created the Stilton United Premiership Sandwich.
Sandwich creator Nigel said: “It took a bit of persuading to get Stilton to turn ‘red’ for the week but we all feel it’s a fitting tribute for Manchester United to have their very own commemorative sandwich created for them to mark being crowned Premiership champions plus finalists in the FA Cup against Chelsea, all during British Sandwich Week. It will truly be a fantastic week with these two great British institutions coming together to celebrate two very different achievements. I only hope that Wayne and Rio pop in to sample the winning sandwich!”
