While Monday night’s 3-3 draw at St. James’ Park was a fine spectacle for the neutral, for Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal it was another frustrating (if goal-filled) night.
And in the post-match press conference, the Red Devil’s manager got particularly irked by more questions about his side’s man of the match Wayne Rooney, singling out one of the journalists present in customary spiky fashion.
At the end of the press conference, Van Gaal dismissed the Rooney questions, saying: “We don’t speak any more about Wayne Rooney. You have criticised him. I don’t, you.”
After a reporter retorted with “You too”, the Dutchman then pointed at one of the media folk present and said “You too, fat man, there”.
Oooh, bitchy!
Apparently the poor chap in question was the Sun’s Neil Custis. Let’s hope he didn’t take the public fat-shaming too much to heart!
Anyway, van Gaal is hardly the sveltest of men himself, now is he?!
