Bastian Schweinsteiger’s brother Tobias has had a dig at Jose Mourinho on Twitter after the Manchester United boss apparently banished the German and Bayern Munich legend to the reserves.

With Paul Pogba set to follow the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford this summer, Mourinho has started his summer clear-out, with Schweinsteiger, who was only a bit-part player for United last season, reportedly told hecan leave.

Reports had also suggested that the World Cup winner had been forced to suffer the indignity of training with the reserves by Mourinho.

Understandably, Schweinsteiger’s nearest and dearest have been rather taken aback by his treatment, with older brother Tobias, a former player himself, posting a short but to the point message on Twitter…

With Mourinho in charge, expect a season full of drama at Old Trafford.

As for ‘Schweini’, just turned 32, he’s surely still got a lot to offer (if he can stay fit)?
