Manchester United got their Premier League campaign off to a fine start, courtesy of a comfortable 3-1 win away at Bournemouth. Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were all on target for Jose Mourinho’s side with Adam Smith bagging a consolation goal for the Cherries.

However, after the game, Ibrahimovic and Rooney looked rather bemused by Sky’s decision to give centre-half Eric Bailly the man of the match award, despite the centre-half’s impressive display.

Taking the award from the interviewer, Ibrahimovic quipped “I thought it was Wayne”…

Swedish striker Ibrahimovic’s goal, on 64 minutes, was a superb low strike and overall, the performance bodes well for the Red Devils’ season…

As for Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth, it could be a tough second season in the top-tier.

Yeah on first watch I thought Zlatan’s goal was lucky (as in, the keeper could have saved it), but on the replays the accuracy & quality was there to see.

A superb result, very pleased with the performance.
