As well as the Champions League, the draw for the quarter-finals of UEFA’s premiere secondary continental cup competition has also taken place this morning.

Thanks to official draw ambassador Patrik Andersson, Manchester United have been presented with an exciting last-eight fixture against Anderlecht.

The Europa League quarter-final draw in full…

Anderlecht vs Manchester United
Celta Vigo vs Genk
Ajax vs Schalke
Olympique Lyon vs Besiktas

Honestly, if United don’t win this thing they deserve to be liquidated on the spot.

Well at least we don’t have to travel to deepest Russia again.

A quick trip across the sea to Belgium is a nice day out!

I’m kinda glad we avoided Ajax, who always pose a threat (who, much like United, continually produce outstanding young talent).

Anderlecht will be no pushovers, mind you. The Belgian league may not have the star names of Ligue 1, but the teams know how to play.

Given that, I fully expect us to reach the semis. I’d take Lyon there, and then a final against Ajax.

That would be a tasty final.
