A brace from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting earned Stoke a share of the points at home to Manchester United in Saturday’s late game.

The Red Devils were looking to extend their 100% record to four games this season but came up against a Stoke side eager to attack whenever possible.

The hosts took the lead just before the break, with summer-signing Choupo-Moting blasting home after a very good team move.

However, it took United only three minutes to level the scores, with Paul Pogba’s header from a corner diverting in off Marcus Rashford.

Things got even better for the visitors just after the break, with Romelu Lukaku continuing his fine run of form by firing past Jack Butland at the second time of asking.

Stoke continued to look dangerous going forward, with Jesé forcing David De Gea into a magnificent save.

However, all De Gea’s good work was undone soon after, with Choupo-Moting once again scoring, this time with a header from a corner after weak defending from Phil Jones.

Lukaku had a great chance to win the game for the visitors late on, only to blast over close-range.

Butland then made a fine save to prevent an own-goal at the death.

However, the game would end all-sqaure, a result which sees United stay top of the table, albeit with their 100% record finally ending. Stoke, on the other hand, are now 10th.

After the game, managers Mark Hughes and Jose Mourinho didn’t shake hands, with the Stoke boss perplexed. He said:

I’m not sure why he didn’t want to shake my hand. I didn’t think there were any issues.

There was a time he came into my technical box and I told him to get out but that was it. Maybe that was what upset him.

As for Mourinho, he was rather unimpressed when asked about the incident in a post-match interview.

Classic Mourinho!

I thought United were very average on this game. Jones and Bailly were horrible, especially Jones. I don’t trust Jones, he’s a good player and he can be useful during the season but he’s not regular enough to start games for Man United. He’s brilliant in some games and horrible in others, we need someone solid.
I hope that Lindelof fella is ready soon.

By the way, De Gea is a fucking genius!
