Manchester United strolled to victory in Moscow on Wednesday night, with Romelu Lukaku netting a brace – his 9th and 10th goals in his last nine outings for United – in a straightforward 4-1 win over CSKA.

The Red Devils got off to the perfect start, with Lukaku heading home from a deep Anthony Martial cross with just three minutes played.

Soon after, the visitors doubled their advantage, with Martial stroking home a spot-kick after Henrikh Mkhitaryan was fouled in the box.

On 26 minutes, Lukaku nabbed his second of the game, pouncing to tap home from a yard or two following some appalling defending from the hosts.

CSKA did threaten the United goal themselves on a number of occasions, with David De Gea thwarting both Alan Dzagoev and Fedor Chalov with fine, athletic saves.

However, the Red Devils would go on to make it 4-0 just before the hour-mark, with Mkhitaryan rapping in a rebound from close-range.

The Russians did eventually claw back a consolation goal at the death via Konstantin Kuchaev…

The game would end 4-1, a result which didn’t flatter United who could have netted even more.
