74138789.jpgTalk about the gap between the top clubs in England and the rest of the Premiership. Man U’s squad now looks so strong that they could arguably field two teams in the Prem and qualify for Europe twice over:
First XI: Edwin Van der Sar, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez
Second XI: Ben Foster, John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Gerard Pique, Gabriel Heinze, Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs, Park Ji-Sung, Nani, Louis Saha, Guiseppe Rossi
Oh, and that still leaves no room for journeymen like Alan Smith, Ole Solskjaer, Mikael Silvestre, Kieran Richardson and, er, Anderson. Truly scary.

  1. Andrew II says:

It’s relatively weak compared to Chelsea’s:
Cudicini, Ferrera, Ben Haim, Alex, Bridge, Diarra, Sidwell, Joe Cole, SWP, Shevchenko/Pizarro

  2. Łupek says:

I know you’re all rooting for Foster, because you see future England’s Number One in him, but I genuinely think Kuszczak is significantly better. And a worker. And injury-free. Foster is no butterfingers surely, but not big enough for MU imo.
That’s a good squad SAF has collected, will be able to beat any team in europe in the next 6 years, without buying anyone.

  3. Jorge says:

Your second squad is way too unbalanced, Ryan Giggs, Park Ji-Sung, Nani, Louis Saha, Guiseppe Rossi are all forwards or at most offensive midfielders, but you make a point although you also show the weekness of Man. U.: its defense.

  4. Phantom-Pain says:

Defense? Fergie clearly understands that Offense is the best defense! The second XI would make it to the UEFA cup I reckon.
