It’s a nice day to start again. Here’s the round-up…

Rumour No. 1: Days after Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti revealed that Manchester United have lodged an interest in him, Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder has moved quickly to pledge his future to the Nerazzurri;

“I have a very good feeling at Inter and I don’t want to let them down after winning everything and losing Jose Mourinho.

My goal is to be as successful this year with new coach Rafa Benitez. I’m not surprised by the interest because I’ve been playing well but my intention is to stay at Inter. I want to talk with them about extending my contract.”

Pretty decisive.

Rumour No. 2: Manchester City are putting together an audacious £20 million offer for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, which would see the 32-year-old earn £18 million in wages over the course of a three-year contract should he decide to move to Eastlands.

Drogba won the Golden Boot award last season after notching 29 Premier League goals, but City are hoping that Chelsea will be tempted into selling due to the Ivorian’s ‘advancing years’.

The Best of the Rest: Manchester City are also being linked with moves for Hoffenheim’s Ghanian centre-back Isaac Vorsah and former England ‘keeper Richard Wright, who is a free-agent after being released by Ipswich.

City have turned down Besiktas’ cheeky £16.7 million bid for Brazilian winger Robinho, as they are holding out for at least £25 million.

After seeing their advances for Wesley Sneijder spurned by the man himself, Manchester United will now turn their sights on Werder Bremen’s German starlet Mesut Ozil.

Barcelona have admitted that they will have to sell striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be able to fund a move for Arsenal captain ‘Cesc Fabregas.

Arsenal are set to lose out on Ajax right-back Gregory Van der Wiel, as German champions Bayern Munich are on the verge of wrapping up a £14 million deal for the 22-year-old Dutch international.

West Brom have rejected West Ham’s £5.5 million bid for midfielder Graham Dorrans.

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant is close to signing for Italian side Napoli after being told he can leave Real Zaragoza.

Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley has completed a medical at Celtic and will be officially unveiled at Parkhead during the next 48 hours.
