Several big clubs want to sign Mesut Özil from Werder Bremen, including – if you believe the rumours – Man Utd (currently the bookies’ favourite), Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

What’s your feeling on this? I think it’s almost certain that Werder will cash in on their bug-eyed playmaker, who has said before that he’s a fan of English football. The two Manchester clubs appear to be leading the race, but there’s still time for a late mega bid from one of Spain’s two giants – though Barcelona, where Özil was spotted this week, surely don’t need him.

I voted Man Utd.

In the interests of grotesque self delusion – Liverpool will sign him and win everything. Yeeeeah Boy!

  2. Jake says:

Still bitter eh Ollie? Its surely bit childish that you opted not to insert a Liverpool option in the voting area.

Liverpool can sign anyone if we wants. Woy just has to say the word we’ll give him our money to buy what he needs.

    Joe COle > Ozil

Bitter Bitter Ollie. All this over Joe COle turning down the small club that is tottneham hotspurs.

Dare I say it you’re still bitter.

  3. torres! says:

    Liverpool!

  4. Ollie says:

Liverpool aren’t interested in Ozil at all, as far as I know. I didn’t add Tottenham to the poll for the same reason and I don’t see any Spurs fans bitching. You Scousers really don’t make it easy, do you!?

  5. PhilandoTorres says:

@ Jake – Give it a rest man, for fuck’s sake.

Liverpool is the biggest shit among this clubs, if ozil goes to “loserfool” he is completly lost his mind. . .

Beşiktaş, Neden bir Türk takımına gelmeyi düşünmüyor, elbette kendisi Alman olmayı seçti, profosyonel kararından dolayı kendi görüşüne saygı duyarım ama yabancılık çekmez Türkiye’de. Ayrıca büyük klüpler ona bütçe ayırabilirler

  11. Ryan Kam says:

I’m a huge Liverpool fan but you’re delusional Jake.

Ozil has the potential to be one of the best players in the center mid/attacking midfielder position. Cole is brilliant when he’s healthy, but Ozil is still very young. His potential hasn’t even begun to be tapped and I think the sky is the limit for him.

I’d gladly drop Cole if Ozil was an option, but Woy seems to have no interest in him. Which is odd to be honest.

  12. Ryan Kam says:

Also, City simply because it seems like they’re trying their hardest to buy every good player in the world this off-season.

  13. blend says:

    at man utd

  14. Jules says:

Do the decent thing Mesut and come to Old Trafford

  15. Baran Onder says:

turkish giant fenerbahce will buy him..

  16. dubaidave says:

ManUtd need him – but will they spend the money?

  17. Tatum says:

    Man Utd should buy him!

  18. alex says:

send him anywhere but united. we shouldnt want him.

he performed well in the beginning of the world cup but as each game progressed he got worse. he’s a good spot player but wont be consistent in a weekly BIG club.

  19. tainted says:

@alex: You definitely have no idea. He had a great season in Werder Bremen and he was in the U21 eurochampionship team from 2009 and destroyed the English u21 team with 4:0. He was just brilliant in that match. By the way, James Milner was in that English team that was beaten . There is clearly something wrong, because Milner, an average footballer in comparison to Ozil gets the chance to play in a big club and gets paid so much money.
