The Champions League semi-final picture is no clearer after the first legs. Both games ended in draws, with little to choose between either set of teams.
Chelsea probably have the edge after Riise’s late own goal, but it’s way too early to write off Liverpool, who outplayed the Blues for most of the first leg and clearly have a fresher squad of players.
In the other semi, Man Utd have no away goal to take back to Old Trafford, thanks to Alex Ferguson’s conservative selection & formation at the Camp Nou last night; if Barca can score one goal in Manchester, United will have to score at least two.
