Mourinho and Fergie – the mind games have started

Picture_3_44 I noticed that when Jose Mourinho discussed the future of Cristiano Ronaldo in a recent interview, the Chelsea manager couldn’t stop himself aiming a quick verbal jab in the direction of Alex Ferguson. Force of habit, I guess:

‘He [Ronaldo] is a great player, full of potential and ambition…’ Mourinho said. ‘I do not speak much with him, but as our representative is the same they circulate messages between us… I have already said to Jorge Mendes [the pair’s agent] that if he wants to be a champion, he is better to leave Manchester.’

In other words, if CR stays at Old Trafford, he’ll win nothing. Oh stop it Jose, it’s only July!
