Even Sam Allardyce didn’t want to gamble on Michael Owen

Fergie seems willing to overlook Michael Owen’s appalling injury record, unlike Big Sam, who wasn’t prepared to take a risk on signing a player who might not be able to give Blackburn at least 30 games next season.
I understand Allardyce’s argument - he has fewer top-class forwards than United, so buying Owen would have been a much bigger gamble. And Big Sam ain’t a gambler, as the video below proves…

    Sam prob would have had to pay more for him than Ferg… But think hes a worthy buy for United.
