Manchester United And Marseille Turn Up The Snooze, Nani Attacked By Green Laser
By Herman Miller
About the most interesting thing about tonight’s forgettable match in Marseille, in which you might argue that neither team ever wanted to make a real contest of it, was seeing Nani targeted by a green laser-wielding buffoon in the crowd:
That’s either a laser or Nani is about to go all Hulk on Marseille’s defence. No, it’s a laser then.
Let’s hope the return leg at Old Trafford offers a tad more sweat and thunder.

i actually fell asleep in this one. quite a sad display of footy
I didnt fall asleep watchin this to be honest. I thoroughly enjoyed watching over and over again the majestic Fanni pissin all over Rooney…
Although Fanni’s ball control was very poor – couldnt keep it tight
Is something going on this year? this game sounds like a bore and I watched Liverpool at Sparta Praha a few weeks back and that was awful. The most exciting thing was when someone tossed a smoke bomb that caused the game to be stopped. Why so much boring soccer of late?
Sparta at Liverpool tonight. Would like to watch, but will it suck again like last time?
Arsenal and the Mighty Spurs last 16 first round games were awesome. Man Utd’s performance last night was boring as sin, to think I stopped playing FIFA 11 to watch it. Shame on me.
@Ron: I think a lot of the first rounds in the Europa League and Champion’s League tend towards a snooze-fest because the only sense of urgency is for the home team to keep a clean sheet. A lot of teams tend to ride out the first of the two matches by staying utterly defensive and boring. Did you watch Arsenal vs. Barcelona or Milan vs. Tottenham? Thrillers.
Was that why he kept on falling over?
