We’ll have more on the game later this morning, but for the two of you who haven’t seen and mocked it yet – here’s poor old Fernando Torres (who, to be fair, had already scored a lovely goal to get Chelsea off the mark at 3-1) and his woeful, caricature-bolstering open goal howler at Old Trafford yesterday…

Not that Wayne Rooney was having much better luck at the other end either, mind…

So much for the ‘Perfect Strike’, eh? We reckon Nike might want to give their gimmick for these new T90s the once-over after this weekend’s shenanigans.

My household is full of Liverpool fans, the howls of laughter with that miss set the neighbour’s dogs barking! We don’t like Nando much…

  2. CFC_Jay says:

Poor poor Nando!!! Believe it or not he actually had a decent game and in some parts was looking like the Torres of old, but that immense / epic / colossal / mammoth of a miss wont have done his fragile confidence that much good :(

I know what you mean Radagast. I was laughing when triangles were played around Suarez by Tottenham’s back line. Missing an open goal > miskicking a penalty.

im a pool fan and it breaks my heart to see el nino falter. Fernando Torres was and still is capable of being an amazing striker. I love that guy and he had a chance for a hattrick against utd. wish i couldve seen that happen instead of this.

DeGea getting lucky all of a sudden.

  6. Scott Mac says:

The man is a class striker…Torres never looked back up after he beat De Gea and simply got his angles wrong. Pool fans need to worry more about having the same points tally as QPR and Wolves.

@Scott Mac , we may have the same points as QPR and Wolves , we were terrible on Sunday , but this made me smile , class striker ? He was , but I dont know if he will regain it again.
