Former England Boss Fabio Capello Still Loves Blighty, Eyes Up Job In Premier League

By Alan Duffy

‘Cor blimey, guv’nor, let’s have a goold old fashioned knees-up!”

It seems that Fabio Capello hasn’t toally fallen out of love with England despite his rather messy resignation earlier this year. The 65-year-old has a superb CV, following trophy-laden spells with AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid, but despite receiving a load of offers from Europe, the Italian tactician is now on the look-out for management job in the Premier League. Obviously the great weather, respectful press and fine English cuisine have proved too much of a draw.

Speaking to the Times, the former Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid coach said:

“England would be very interesting for me because I know very well the teams and the players. I want to manage a team that wants to win something, if possible.”

“It has to be interesting based on the value of the team, not money. I don’t work for money. I want to manage a team that is able to play in the Champions League and to fight for lots of trophies.”

So there you have it. We know what he wants, but the question is – do any of the big clubs in the Premier League want him? Chelsea maybe? Or what about Liverpool if they have a bad start to next season?

I don’t think West Brom will be able to afford his wages.

    Poor Di Matteo.

You just KNOW Roman is licking his lips right now.

I reckon he wants to win big here to stick a massive two fingers up at the British press.

I’m sure Roman will find a way to have him and Pep Guardiola both manage at the same time.

He’d be welcome at Arsenal, should Wenger decide to quit when the inevitible happens and RVP leaves for Barcelona.

What’s going to inevitably happen at Arsenal?
No way he’d ever sign for the gunners — he’ll only settle for a club like Man City, where he’ll have silly amounts of money to spend. Personally, I don’t like him — he’s a cantankerous, autocratic old git. I’d like to see him take on a club like Wigan — and then see what he can do.

despite their good form I think he would do okay if he played Wigan as he was always surprisingly good in the air so could threaten them from set plays. We would need to give him a goal keeper and a few other players otherwise it would just be unfair though…

Capello might still be in love with the glamour and glory of football here in Britain but I don’t think the feeling’s mutual.

It’s not be completely his fault, overrated England players are also to blame for the pitiful performances our team puts on at the international stage. But Capello’s name is now only associated with failure and dashed expectations in this country.

I think he should spend a couple of years working back in his native Italy till it’s all blown over and then try buttering up English trophy winning clubs.
